Nothing like chilling in the shade in a city park on a hot summer day with a close friend...

This picture is sort of a double gift, to myself in honor of my birthday on the 19th (damn I'm old ), and to ~Hide0ut a.k.a. Lestikitty as a long overdue thanks. We don't always see eye to eye, especially in recent conversations, but she's been more than willing to put up with me over the years and has helped me get through some tough times...a great friend who deserves better than what she has.

I actually started work on this pic back in September of last year, but it only sat around as a mere sketch for the longest time, and I figured now would be a good time to finish it off. The title is a reference to both my birthday's proximity to the summer solstice and to the intro level song of the overlooked classic game Knuckles Chaotix, which coincidentally involves shrinking/size-altering themes and a small flying character.
